it's in German, but the pictures are universal, you can google the word in their translator for a rough meaning...
In Kyudo, unless you already know, they use a glove with a wood reinforce thumb, which is supported by the index finger and optionaly with the middle finger.
Last night (1/4/2007) I made a kyudo 'glove' from a garden gloves. I cut the leather off of the pinky, ring, and middle fingers and used shoe glued it to the thumb and for reinforcements I used an expired Bank of America credit card. I started with one layer, but it hurt like hell, so I kept adding leather until I decided with the credit card and put the middle finger leather over that.
back to topic...
I too was have the nock end hitting the bow and going to the right. So I saw this picture, see link, and realize the I needed to put more pre-twisting pressure on the bow grip. Speaking of bow grip, my grip was also wrong. The grip I use on my Hoyt ProElite
So i now I'm hitting middle from 2m, except the arrows are tilted to the right, indicating a stiff arrow. See Easton tuning guide. I was using my Compound Bow arrows, Easton 29" x7 Cobalts 2314. At a 2314 I guess my arrows are too stiff.
