very nice work. Reto, small loops for arrow holding on the front side of quiver are original solution?? Strap system on backside is interesting too. I know only pictures and photo from the front side. It is delight for me

Excellent work! I wish I could work with leather to make stuff like that. I don't understand the reason for the inner straps.

Jose,
The straps on the inner side of the quiver are an original feature of Turkish quivers. They help keep the quiver upright when the arrows are longer than the body of the quiver.

They are particularly useful on horseback where the angle of the arrows is important because the arrows otherwise hit the bow in the bow case as you ride. Even miniature paintings show this problem in the rare paintings showing a horse archer from the rear of the horse.

Thanks for the explanation. Now that I think, that?s a common problem for quivers without that help.

What was the extra "arrow pocket" for?

Was it added for the simpel reason so that the quiver should hold as many arrows as possible..?
...or was the intention to carry and keep separate two different kinds of arrows for different purposes (target and hunting)?

Very nice quivers, Reto! Looking forward to see more artwork from you.

The extra arrows on the front might serve both purposes, maybe flu-flu arrows. You can get them ready at hand in a different place than the rest.
It?s a clever idea that increases the amount of arrows at . I don't know if Turkish quivers had this feature or if it's an original idea.

I want to say that Reto kindly agreed to sell one of these quivers for me, and I got it a few days ago. The quality is excellent and the design flawless. I need to take pictures sometime, but maybe I'll wait until I receive my new bow.

Thank you, Reto :?
