Hello I am a disabled archer and love all types of Archery history? Which type of of Asain bow has the least stack I have a right arm shorter than left by four inches and draw a max of 26 inches at forty five pound draw weight. Any advice?
Thanks this is a wonderful forum and I am learning a lot!

For the short 26 inches draw almost any kind of bow will do for smoothness. If the bow is too long however, the efficiency will drop.
"smoothness depends on the quality of the maker" - the lack of stacking has nothing to do with the quality of a bow. It depends only on the length of bow in relation to the arrow and on the design.

Hello and welcome!
I recently bought a Korean bow from Mr. Park, with bamboo belly and carbon laminates (I think). It draws perfectly smooth all the way.
Be aware though that the draw weights indicated on Korean bows often refer to a draw length of 30" or even 32". So you may have to choose a higher indicated draw weight to reach your desired draw weight at 26".
Good luck!

I have read about the longer Korean draw length weight. I am basing my smoothness question on Asain bows mainly of recurve type verses straight longbow/selfbow design Asian or not. I feel that the recurves stack less you feel less weight until reaching full draw! With the native American wood D bow there is a lot of stack. I would like to find an asian design that is short and smooth like maybe a bamboo lmainated horse bow?
Thanks!
Thanks!
