If I can save up for a horn bow from Lukas in a year any one can. Feel better about this money spent on a horn bow than almost anything I can think of lately. Glad that I took the plunge and ordered one. Hopefully will have it in the next 3 months.

I have two bows coming from Lukas , one of his fiberglass and wood "Damascus" models with a horse bow grip at a 65# draw weight and a horn bow in the "Mughal Crab Bow" style in an 80# draw weight , both at my 29-30 inch thumb ring draw. Thinking now I will have to save up and perchance get one of his new hybrids when I see what the other styles end up like..

Really intended for this last reply to go on the Saluki crab bow hybrid thread.

Alan and Joe,

I'm also really looking forward towards Lukas upcoming line of Hybrid Bows and I already love the look of his Turk (the Scythian is awesome too!)

I'm so glad that Lukas has found a material that allows him to build a bow according to the true lines of real historical hornbows without sacrifying any performance. I'll probably meet him at a TradArchery Expo in Germany next summer. It'll be like a second Christmas! :)

Aha Joseph now you have the chance of talking to someone that has bought a crab bow. I hope Alan likes his bow, and that he brags about it with pictures and posts! :D

You betcha after waiting a year for the bow I will post with photos like crazy when it gets here. Think that I have between 3 to 4 more months till I can really expect my bows to arrive.
Looking forward to the hybrids with great expectations , nothing that I have shot that comes from the hands of Lukas Novotny has been less than outstanding. Would expect nothing less of the hybrids.
