Orda,
This weird IFAA rule in the Historical Bow division concerning the glue has been fortunately changed, but still you are not allowed to use a natural string and there is only the adult HB division?

Cowbow,
As for archery associations in Poland the traditional archery is still something rather unrecognized and frowned upon by the stuffy governing bodies. In effect the traditional archers have been doing here on they own so far. So far we lack any official association for traditional archery, the most competent and cohesive traditional archery community in Poland seems to be the horseback archers. There is a decent number rather less official shoots taking place though where only traditional or trad. and modern bows are shot. The traditional and the modern archers are cooperating together mainly in the field/2D/3D archery. There are some chances for setting up a Federation For 3D/field archery in Poland in the near future, this would be a chance for a better promotion of the traditional archery.

In China, things are changing really fast. Up until the Beijing Olympics last year, it was difficult to get any focus on traditional archery. But there has been a recent surge of activity with a groups of traditional bow makers (hobbyists) and traditional shooters. We even had a horseback archery group established in Beijing at the end of last year. The national Martial Arts Institute in Beijing has instituted training the pellet bow shooting (but not yet archery.) All shooting with crossbows remains banned.

Partly this is all due to a surge of national pride caused by China's increasing economic and political clout. But it also has a lot to do with the fact that the country's most respected FITA archer and former national chief archery coach, Xu
Kaicai, strongly endorses traditional archery training among FITA archers. It is not so much a matter of improving technique as a reaction to the monotony of regular FITA archery practice.

In Croatia, traditional archery is in general considered as inferior and it lies entirely upon the backs of few enthusiasts.
