Hi all,
Yesterday evening, I shot some photos 'using dojigae' at home.
(The dojigae cord 1m 10cm's long and made of cotton base.)

Did you succeed in string?
But, before you shoot the Korean hornbow, more difficult process waiting for you!
You should toast(?) the bow on the coil style stove(with no flame)
We call it "showing the fire". Then, the bow would wiggle like a snake.(So, we Korean archer think the Korean horn bow is the 'living creature')
After passing through those process, the bow will be tuned suitable for you.
Actually for me, now, stringing is more difficult than shooting.

hi sosohi, thank you for the pics and for that:showing the fire.......
I?m really hungry for this kind of "talking",these traditional descriptions are full of pictures and everybody will be able to feel what it is........
You are really right, stringing these bows is always a great adventure.
A Native American bowyer I know calls especially hornbows the most perfect robbing animal living on Mother Earth.

Hi, redhawk,
Thanks, but I have difficulty for making a translation Korean into English.
So, I'm wrestling with my dictionary.
I dare think, I'm an expert Korean FRP bow archer, but about hornbow, I'm just a novice. so I'm learning from my teacher(we call him 'Sabum')and you all.
