I am talking about smaller, more solid pieces of the horn, especially near the tip.
I know of arrow nocks and points.
Bow Nock Reinforcement (turkish)
English Long Bow Nocks
Thumb Rings
Regular Rings
Knife Handle Scales
Pens
Korean 'bracer' It is like a clip with a ribbon and it holds back the archer's sleeve (Thomas do you have more info on this? I lost the links you had earlier that had dimentions)
Insert that goes in the center of the two horn strips at the handle
Inlays for the side of the handle, so the arrow doesn't scratch the bow.
But what other things would normally be made of horn?
What kinds of things can be made from horn?

Most of the scrap horn from the bowmakers' trade in Beijing used to go to comb-makers. Then there are hairpins, back-scratchers, shoe-horns, gun grips, spectacle frames... Horn was the 'plastic' of the 18-19th centuries.

Dice cups, drinking cups, book covers, spoons (still used for caviar spoons) horns (still used by jews for shofars) armor plates. a few things I can think of. The spoons can be really nice.

what things can be made of horn.........
I?m just on the way to write a chapter for an upcoming book:"Recurved and composit bows". The book is published in Germany, but the publisher will do the english translation as soon as possible.
One of my contributions will be the chapter:"The use of horn in bowery".
So don?t forget the use of horn in many medicines and as a very strong sign or symbol of power. The cornucopia as a sign of luck and the horns of the devil.
A goat nourished the God Zeus with a cornucopia and horn as a medicine was told to help against every poison.
It is not an accident, that the Mongoles and Turks were using hornbows for their conquests.
Horn was a kind of archetype for the development of plastics.
There is much more to find out about horn.

SW,
Another use was in whistling arrows.
About the bracer (p'altch'i in Korean), I've looked around, but I'm not sure what I did with my photos. It might be on ATARN somewhere.
Jonathan,
For the shofar, it would have to be non-bovine horn, so I believe that would rule out much of the type used in bowyery.

"Certain it is that horns of various kinds were used in the very earliest times to symbolise power, and hence were frequently chosen to adorn the heads of gods". A W Buckland, 1876.
There was found in Europe a deer antler "septer" thought to date from the Neo-lithic.
One might also recall certain representations of Alexander of Macedonia shown with ram's horns on his head of his supposed father, the deity Amon.
We could make this a long list. -j-
