Thanks to all for the lessons on Slavic philology. Can we get back to the topic, please?

There is one problem!!!
I think that idea of mp3 is not good because not everybody have high speed internet. So i have to stay all night to net to download all good staff.
And what if I download mp3 and I don't find enything interesting in it? I just trough away few hours of my net time.
Interesting smiles.

Thanks for the useful comment.
What if we do streaming audio? Although it would still not help if you have a slow connection, at least you can cut it off if it is not interesting.
Also, as we are not broadcasting music we do not need to have very high quality sound files, to that it would use less bandwidth.

Let me think about this for a few days, and just try it out to see what people think. I'll make a very short video about something relevant. If it's a video, I should use MP4.
We are holding a beginner's training course in Chinese archery in Hong Kong this weekend. I shall use the opportunity to make some simple videos for up-loading.

Maybe I can help with some info as I work with audio quite a bit. If you are looking for audio I would suggest going the mp3 route. No multimedia is going to be that easy for dial-up users, but mp3's are smaller in size than wav, aiff, and other options for audio. Straming can be a pain too -you still need a decent connection to avoid buffering problems, and then you have to worry if everyone has the player for the type of stream you present -real audio, windows media player, etc.
If you are podcasting -that generaly means putting up a "radio show" format with intros, voice over, and interviews. This is a cool thing to do -but like someone said above -it could be a long program, they download it, and then find there is nothing they wanted to hear. There are 2 ways around this -first, have descriptions for each podcast so someone could decided if it is something they want to download. Second, you could just make the individual interviews available as mp3s rather than a longer podcast with multiple interviews -shorter duration - shorter download.
As for video, it is a better way to showcase and feature a subject since people can see what is being described. The difference is that video editing takes more computer power than audio editing. Also, video will always be a larger file size than an mp3 audio file of the same length. One cool thing about video is with certain software you can make a video podcast -so someone could download the actual video podcast from a service like iTunes.
For a podcast I work on for my job we started just doing audio. We will start doing video later on but will continue to export an audio only podcast mp3 from our video so that people who do not have the bandwidth aren't left with just the choice of a video podcast.
Hopefully some of this info helps, and it would be great to see more media about traditional bows -one of my favorite videos is the interview with Saluki bows on their website -I just wish it was longer and more in-depth.
